Hello.
I've read fluent tutorials and it is stated that the Courant number should be between 1 and 10 in transient multiphase flow. In my opinion, Courant should be always below one for explicit methods. Can you explain to me why it is adviced to use a Courant between those numbers? Thanks |

Which multiphase model are you using and are you using an explicit one? If you use an implicit solver then you don't need Co<1 and this number isn't even 1 for every problem.
Everyone has their opinions. You say less than 1 but does that mean 0.001 or 0.99 and also why? |
