Hi!
I've a question about autoignition simulation in Fluent (I have a IC engine to simulate with spark but I also want to study the effects of knock): I use the Species Transport model with volumetric reaction and finite-rate/ No TCI, cause I validated this model at the beginning of my thesis, so I can't use the knock model. I tried with Autoignition (Ignition Delay Model) on a simple cylinder without the motion of the piston, in order to study ignition time; I initialized with 2000 K and 1 bar, but it didin't work. I used the Generalized option cause I read on Fluent Theory Guide that the Hardenburg model is for diesel engine and I have methane as fuel. Do you have any advice for me?

PS: I tried also to simulate it without the autoignition model, with the motion of the piston and the reaction started cause I saw the increase of CO2 and the decrease of methane. Do you think I can go on this way? Anyway I'd like to understand the Autoignition model, so if you can explain it to me, I appreciate

Thanks
