Hello,

I am writing here to ask someone if he or she ever faced this kind of problem, When I simulate a fluid displaces another fluid, actually a fluid with constant viscosity displaces another non-newtonain fluid. When I set both fluids having constant viscosity, the solver can work but didn't calculate the right velocity. When I set the second phase as non-newtonain model (HB model), the solver didn't run, giving floating point exception error. (I use VOF, energy, and realizable k-e, enhanced wall Fn)

Anyone can explain this?

I don't think we have enough info to begin troubleshooting this problem. Could you include an image of your setup and mesh.

A floating point excetpion could mean a variety of things. When you look at your residuals, are they diverging?

Hi, it's not diverging now when I change my outlet condition to mass flow out. Now it's computing but the velocity flowing up from bottom is not calculated right.

I'm sorry, but I don't have enough info on your problem to really understand what's going on. Again, could you post a picture of your mesh, and tell me a little about your setup?
