I am using Ansys Fluent to simulate a heat fin setup. The enclosure around the heat fins has one wall as inlet and another as outlet. The remaining four walls must touch the fin setup so that incoming air is forced to pass through the fins and not around them. However bringing the enclosure too close is apparently not allowed. The exact message displayed on doing so is :
An error occurred while creating enclosure. Try increasing cushion value. I am calculating pressure difference between the inlet and the outlet as a result of the fin setup. The values are much higher than theoretically calculated and I suspect it is because currently there is still some gap between the fins and the surrounding walls. Is there any way around this problem? Thanks. |

Hi, welcome to the forum. Could you post a few images of your setup so that we have a better understanding of what you are attempting to do?
