Dear members,
I am trying to simulate heat transfer and thermal stratification in a storage tank with the use of PCM placed on the top side of the tank in the form of spherical marbles inside a cylindrical container. The problem i am facing is that the fluent automatically stops after 30 minutes of flow time. I cannot understand the problem because i already got the results without PCM and with insulation on outside. Also i don't understand why the simulation stops after running fine for 30 minutes of flow time. These 30 minutes of flow takes around 1 full day in my PC and it becomes frustrating to see it stops after a day of running. As soon as most of the water temperature in the tank reaches around 50° c the run automatically stops. I have to run the simulation till the water temperature reaches 60-65°c. Firstly i thought it was due to the fact that i am taking time step size as 5s, i reduced it to 0.01s then also it didn't solve the problem. Model parameters: PISO,PRESTO, Solidification/Melting model, The error is: cx1810.exe has stopped working |
