Hi,
I am doing a conjugate heat transfer problem for multi-region (solid and liquid). In the solution I generated the temperature contours in a solid region and now I want to do stress analysis for thermal gradients developed in the solid part. I copied only the solid region files as a new case and then I ran foamMeshtoFluent, then foamDatatoFluent. I now have fluent Mesh and fluent Data which I read in the Fluent 14 without much problem using workbench. Since, workbench was not showing the solution, I ran a steady state case using adiabatic boundary condition in fluent and generated the solution files, though this changed the temperature contours but I proceeded further to try to export it in the static structural. Also, I am able to post-process the data in CFD post also. By simple drag and drop, the solution got transferred but Ansys did not take the mesh and showed mesh not found error. 2nd thing I tried to run a very small 1e-9 sec time step in fluent transient so that my temperature contours don't change but fluent do not initialize it with the values loaded. Please suggest any ideas or place where I can ask this - Tarang |
