Hi,
I am doing a cfd simulation of a propeller, I would like to know how to get the thrust force using Fluent? I know it gives the forces components, so I created a force monitor using the vector (-1,0,0) given my flow direction is in the X direction, but it seems like I am having figures, as they show in negative and too big. Thank you |

You should give the more details of your simulation. I think it can be you choose wrong axis so the value get negative. You shoud check the velocity vector near the blades. To know whether the rotation is correct.

Thanks for the reply, my propeller is turning in the counter clock wise direction ,as it is designed to do , with the rotation axis being the x axis and the flow direction is the x axis as well, which makes the thrust in the opposite side.
