hi
i want to simulate flow between annulus. The BCs are velocity inlet, pressure outlet and walls. fluent solve the flow correctly but i dont know how to calculate frictional pressure loss [Pa/m] in fluent. should I use custom function ? or fluent can calculate it? |

This is a postprocessing endeavor. DP is really nice and well defined in 1D, but in 3D not so straightforward & you have to replace it with an equivalent 3D definition (i.e. difference in average pressure between outlet and inlet). You can get these averages from Fluent and then the remaining calculation can be done by hand.
