Hello,
I'm new to Fluent and I'm not sure how to simulate this module I have a tank full of water with 1 m head connected to a pipe at the exit (1.7 mm diameter & 22 cm length) then connected to another pipe with (1 mm diamter & 10 cm length), the exit at the atm. pressure. Req: to determine the volume flow rate at the 2nd pipe exit Right now, I drew only the 2nd pipe, the mesh quality should be good enough - used Laminar flow (because it's given around 1300 Reynolds no.) - boundary conditions: pressure inlet (9806 pa) >> equivalent to 1 m headwater pressure outlet 0 (gauge) - reference values: Area (0.785398 mm^2) length (100 mm) viscosity (0.00089) pressure and velocity are zero Are my assumptions correct until now? |
