Hello,
I have been running 2d simulations of airflow over a cylinder. Red=59000 Cylinder diameter = 50.4 cm Free stream velocity = 20m/s I am extracting the x-coord,y-coord,u comp, v comp from cfd post and importing into matlab and plotting to compare to experimental data. The velocity profiles are plotted 10D,15D, and 20D downstream. However, the velocity deficit at the centerline of the wake increases as I move downstream instead of decreasing. I'm using SSTKO turb model, PISO algorithm, transient simulation with a time step of 1e-4. Yplus value less than 1 etc. Has anyone run into issues like this before? |
