Hello friends, I have a problem with one of my simulations, I've just start working in a company and I'm new in Fluent.
I'm using Fluent V18.0.
I have a single phase, 3D model, the geometry is a tank, with a lateral inlet and a upper outle, inside the tank there is a plate, transversal to the water flow, that has windows where the water pass through.
I've modelled the plate as surface and with a "wall" boundary condition.
The software has create the shadow of this surface...so I suppose that use the real surface as one side and the shadow as the other side of the plate.

I've finished the simulation and here is the problem, I need to determine the difference of pressure (between the original surface and the shadow) to do the mechanical design of this plate. I can make a pressure contour in the surface and in his shadow (the pressure distribution are differents, and this is ok) but I could not obtain the difference of pressure in the surface.
Thank you very much for your answer.
Mauro.

At a solid|fluid boundary, Fluent creates a wall and wall-shadow. The wall belongs to the fluid side and the wall-shadow belongs to the solid side. Then there is an interface that transfer variables back-and-forth between the wall and wall-shadow.

In your case I'm not sure what Fluent did since you don't have a solid.
