Hello, I am trying to model flow in a split pipe. This is this shape
---<--- and it has 3 inlets to 1 outlet. In the simulation, I would like to examine the mixing patterns (likely with flow trajectories), as well as shear forces. I have several questions. How should I approach this in general?

I have imported the geometry from SolidWorks, and the model's pipes are hollow. Should the model be filled? I was watching this tutorial which is somewhat similar to what I am doing, and the part is completely filled, so it appears. Do I just need to plug the ends of my pipes?

I have calculated Reynolds Numbers at several speeds and the flow is turbulent. How should I go about incorporating this into my simulation. Will fluent know that the flow is turbulent?

How should I go about generating the mesh? Should I just go with the mesh that fluent already generates?

Let me know if you have any more questions for me. Sorry, I am very new to CFD! Thank you.
