Hey !
I'm new with Fluent and trying to model the coupled heat and mass transfer occuring in a membrane seperation process ( membrane distillation for my case). I'm wondering which multiphase model is more accurate for my issue.
Thank you

My point of view is to avoid using a multiphase model!!!!. I recommend to define proper source terms for the heat and mass at the membrane eventhough it would take some time to write suitable udfs.

thanks for your answer . Any special documents, instructions that can help me with udfs ?

Unfortunately, I do not know any particular document. Moreover, I have to say your case might be different, but this is the approach that I chose for my current project (a different process involving heat and mass transfer through a membrane).
I guess if you want to use a multiphase model, VOF would be the first one to try. However, I am also interested to see what other models can be used.
Best
