Hi,
I try to simulate the phase change of AdBlue from solid to liquid, but it is really hard to finish it. There is a cylinder with 10 L and at the bottom of cylinder there is a heating mat with 60 W. In cylinder there is 4.5 L of frozen Adblue with -16 grad Celsius. I turned on of cource VOF. My question is, 1. Should be 3 phases-simulation(frozen Adblue, liquid Adblue, Air) or 2 phases-simulation(Adblue and Air)? 2. If I use 2 phases-simulation, how can I set the density of frozen Adblue and liquid adblue seperately? The Problem is, the density of frozen adblue has a constant value which is not depend on temperature and the density of liquid adblue is depend on temperature. 3. I also try to use 2 phases-simulation with Murnaghan equation of state for density. In this case the density of (frozen and liquid) Adblue is a value which has only a variable pressure. Should I use then UDF for the density? Thank you very much! Last edited by spalartallmaras; January 3, 2018 at 08:57. Reason: Name |
