Hello all,
I want to study the behaviour of airflow around a 2d airfoil in a specific angle of attack. More specifically, my investigation concerns the performance of different RANS models, validating my results with those in the literature. A given grid has been provided for this purpose. The problem is that in my task, I should use the 'rotate geometry' option to modify the given grid and check the airflow in my angle of attack. I didn't find anything about this option. Is it possible without changing the properties of the grid provided? Could anyone tell me how I can do it? I tried to rotate the whole mesh in the existing Cartesian system of coordinates but I don't like the way that it works. What if I just change the velocity components? Thanks in advance for your help Achilleas |

Typically it is done by changing the velocity components.
But if you want to simulate the flow over an oscillating airfoil then you will have to change the grid. |
