This command is still listed in the v18.2 Fluent user manual:

Quote:
check-verbosity
Set the level of details that will be added to the mesh check report generated by mesh/check. A value of 0 (the default) notes when checks are being performed, but does not list them individually. A value of 1 lists the individual checks as they are performed. A value of 2 lists the individual checks as they are performed, and provides additional details (for example, the location of the problem, the affected cells).

The check-verbosity text command can also be used to set the level of detail displayed in the mesh quality report generated by mesh/quality. A value of 0 (the default) or 1 lists the minimum orthogonal quality and the maximum aspect ratio. A value of 2 adds information about the zones that contain the cells with the lowest quality, and additional metrics such as the maximum cell squish index and the minimum expansion ratio.
However it is not listed when using the TUI itself, accessed in Meshing mode, and is called an invalid command when I attempt to implement it:

Quote:
Meshing> mesh

Meshing/mesh>
auto-mesh domains/ pyramid/
auto-mesh-controls/ hexcore/ repair-face-handedness
auto-prefix-cell-zones laplace-smooth-nodes reset-mesh
cavity/ list-mesh-parameter reset-mesh-parameter
check-mesh manage/ scoped-prisms/
check-quality modify/ separate/
check-quality-level non-conformals/ tet/
clear-mesh poly/ thin-volume-mesh/
create-heat-exchanger prepare-for-solve
cutcell/ prism/

Meshing/mesh> check-verbosity
invalid command [check-verbosity]
I am trying to figure out why mesh check is failing. The mesh looks visually okay (features well represented) at first inspection but I think the volume mesh needs some massaging. This is my first mesh in Fluent (designed-to-succeed Tutorials notwithstanding), I am very experienced in STAR-CCM+ but trying to find my way around Fluent for the first time is surprisingly challenging. This mesh was created by wrapping dirty CAD geometry of a complex assembly. This what I get when I try to run a mesh or quality check (via TUI or GUI):

Quote:
Meshing/mesh> check-quality

Mesh Quality:

Minimum Orthogonal Quality = 3.59824e-03
(To improve Orthogonal quality , use "Inverse Orthogonal Quality",
where Inverse Orthogonal Quality = 1 - Orthogonal Quality)
Warning: minimum Orthogonal Quality below 0.01.

Maximum Aspect Ratio = 2.42082e+02
Mesh quality check failed.

Thanks in advance!

Hi
I think you have generated the structured Mesh in pointwise or others.
The orientation of the mesh zones might have some mismatches. check it before importing it to fluent.
Regards
