Hi CFD Online,
This is my first post on the forum. Please excuse any mistakes I make and I appreciate any help you may offer. I am currently working on modelling the heating of brain tissue and have found in literature that Fluent UDFs can be used to introduce the metabolic and perfusion in the bioheat equation as source terms. The bioheat equation is referenced here. Based on this, I have written the UDF (please see attached) for the metabolic and perfusion terms. I then interpreted and applied the UDF to a sphere with brain material properties. The boundary condition is set to a constant 310.65 K. However, the solution is failing to converge and I am wondering if my approach with the UDF is correct? Please let me know if anything else I can add to help and thanks in advance. |
