Hi guys!
I am having some issues regarding using the finite rate method in combustion modeling. I am modeling a simple laminar premixed combustion case between propane and air (single step chemistry). I have the inlet boundary condition with 0.2m/s and stoichiometric mixture of propane and air. However, after patching the convergent cold non-reacting flow at 3000k near the inlet and run it under the finite-rate model. The temperature returns back to 300k soon after. I have also tried patching the reactants, too and it does not work, either. I also tried a turbulent case with velocity 10m/s. The EDM method works while the finite rate method still gives extinguishing results. I am wondering what might be the problem here. Thanks!!! |
