Question udf for moving a zone in one direction

Hi everyone.
i want to simulate flow over a cylinder and need to give 1 dof(degree of freedom) to oscillate normal to flow direction.i need to write a udf for that(i think) but dont know much about udf. if anyone know that please help me.
