praveengambhir16 is on a distinguished road
Hello there fellow CFDers!
I have been running a Fluent case of an single stage vane-axial fan, and wanted to implement the Ffowcs Williams-Hawkings acoustics module inside Fluent in order to predict aerodynamic fan pass noise. I am running a steady-state calculation with third order MUSCL discretization for momentum and energy, and PRESTO! for pressure (these were the solver settings which work the best for my case, as I have run these settings multiple times with good correlation). I have prescribed acoustic sources as the fan blades, and a reciever 0.2m away in the Z direction. I have read in the User manual that the reciever files should be initialized along with the solution, which I have done. However, when I am performing post-processing to obtain FFT data, Fluent is throwing an error. Should I run a transient case instead with the same settings?

Sincerely,
Praveen
