Hi guys,

I've simulated 3d flat plate using a structured mesh.

Now, I would like to calculate the drag force over a specific semicircle located in the middle of the plate (simulating a force balance).
Using CFDpost I don't know how to define a specific plane/region with this shape and calculate the drag over it.

Otherwise, I have to predefine the geometry and mesh it so I can calculate the forces directly in fluent. However, this way I can not have a structured mesh.

any ideas of how to solve this problem? I have heard something about "patching" but I can not find anything on internet

Thank you in advanced!!
