Hello everybody,
I want to export the temperature field from Ansys Fluent to Ansys Classic for further calculations. The problem is: Ansys Fluent calculates cell temperatures whereas Ansys Classic uses node temperatures. Does anyone knows an approach how to export/use the element temperatures in this case or have an idea how to solve this issue? Best regards h0rst |

In some solvers you can tell them whether they use cell-based or node-based approach. An example of such solver setting is discussed here: 18.3.3 Evaluation of Gradients and Derivatives. I have not used this and it is only a guess. If this does not help then we would need to look at post-processing options more closely...

I know it is straightforward to export node values when writing into ASCII format for example. But I dunno how that would help you interface with Ansys.
