Dear colleagues,

I am working on transient problem in Fluent. After applying UDF for dynamic mesh and after finishing first time step (with 20 iterations per time step), on the beginning of second time step I should check whether the solution converged (residuals < 0.001). If solution did not converge I should not move mesh and if solution convergence happened boundary nodes on which UDF for dynamic mesh is applied should move. And this procedure should repeat each next step.

How to check equation residuals in UDF for dynamic mesh - is there any function?

Or is there any other way? For example, can I somehow set that my UDF for dynamic mesh is only applied when solution of convergence is achieved?

Many thanks in advance for helping me.

Kind regards,

Prikane

Hey Ana86,

Yes, I have solved the problem by following instructions given in the following two links:

residual storage in FLUENT

The explained procedure worked for me! Good luck!

Kind regards,
