I'm simulating a situation where a channel is filled with one static fluid (fluid 1) and another fluid (fluid 2) (which is miscible to the one filling the channel) is injected into the channel to displace the first one.

I care about the interfacial phenomena at between these two fluids So I'm planning using laminar VoF model (which works fine for my immiscible cases).

For simple fluids, for example a glycerol solution (Say 86% wt.) as Fluid 1 and water as fluid 2. The only place I found to put the diffusion/mass transfer between these two fluid is the "mass" tab in the phase interaction. What exactly is this value I should put in? I was guessing a constant mass transfer rate but in the Fluent manual it says constant rate is not available for VoF model.

Some suggestions on how to work out this value for my situation or the actual value I should use and its source will be much appreciated! Thanks a lot!

You can add a variable source term through a UDF.
