Dear all,

Recently I have started using LES turbulence model for highly swirling flow using LES with standard smagorinsky sgs model (Cs=1). In my study, the centroid of the wall-adjacent cell falls within logarithmic region of boundary layer, and the law-of-the-wall is employed.

However, I am unable to find the documents related to the wall-damping function used in Fluent using LES with standard smagorinsky subgrid-scale model (Cs = 1). Kindly help me on this, and any reference would be a warm welcome.

In standard Smagorinsky-Lilly model, the sub-grid eddy viscosity is damped using a combination of a mixing length minimum function proportional to the wall normal distance and a viscosity damping function.
