Hi,
I am a total freshman in Fluent and udf's and now I have to make a udf for a heat exchanger with a porous-zone.

In the UDF I should calculate the (heat flux / volume) [W/m³], which will be included in my source term for energy.

I must calculate my heat flux with Reynolds-Number, Prandtl-Number, Nusselt-Number, heat transfer coefficient etc…

Now my Problem is, that I need the area of a cell or the length of a edge from a cell to calculate this values and I have no idea how I will get this information, especially in a DEFINE_SOURCE udf.

Can someone help me how I must go on with this problem?

Kind regards
