Hi I am trying to simulate a simple case of Al cooling plate with liquid flow inside the plate cavity (liquid is water at 10 deg c) with Energy equation switched on as I would like to simulate conjugate heat transfer from water to plate and from plate to surrounding air. I therefore placed the plate into ambient environment represented by large box with air of 25 deg C. I am therefore using coupled thermal setting on interface of the liquid and plate cavity and on the exterior of plate and the air.
The problem is that this set up does not allow me to define the massflow inlet for the plate, as the mesh import into fluent generated inlet and shadow inlet face, and similarly outlet and shadow outlet face, which can only be defined as a wall. Can you please advice on how to set up this simulation? Is there another way of creating ambient air environment which can convection with the exterior of the plate? (I do not have a value for HTC, so I would like Fluent to provide this as a result)
