Hello experts.
I'm working on blood vessel with FSI methode. I have a stl file for artery(without thickness) and convert it to IGS. and there is no problem in modelling it as a fluid zone(no FSI) by fluent.now for FSI methode I need to create 0.7mm thickness for wall and when I Create 0.00001mm thickness there is no problem. for that I create a surface body in design modeller and I put 0.7mm for thickness in ansys mechanical based on totorial.. but when I create thickness, there is a hole or empty space in artery.I use different methode for create thickness such as thin surface option in design modeller and fill methode after that but no result. please help me. have ansys mechanical or design modeller a option for solving this problem?I'm very dissapointed. blood zone.JPG surface body-befor thickness.JPG After thickness.JPG please give me some advice. |

Though it is too late, this problem will be solved if after loading the geometry, you open it using the design modeler and use the "Stitch" function in the "Repair" section.
Hope it helps. |
