Hossein1 is on a distinguished road
I used VOF for axisymmetric solution of a moving particle (7 m/s) colliding onto a water droplet. Although deformation of liquid is generally predicted very well, the length of the liquid film and its thickness does not match with the experimental data that I have (please see the attached picture. I've also attached the parameters that I set in a separate file which may help in diagnostics).
Any thoughts about the reason is appreciated.

PS. In the right-hand side of the picture, I've included the simulation results of droplet impact onto a still particle for comparison of the film thickness.
