Hey! Respected Members,
I am trying to analyze heat transfer in a phase change material (PCM). My material is solid at room temperature and it melts down at 60-62 ℃. I fill PCM in an Aluminum tank with an open top and it would be heated from the bottom side. I have to carry out the analysis in TRANSIENT mode. I use the models with ENERGY EQUATION and SOLIDIFICATION/MELTING ON. My final goal is to get temperature vs time graph. I simply know that there is a serious need to specify the locations/points by going into section of SURFACE > ZONES for getting temperature data; however I am unable to do it exactly. I would appreciate if someone can show me how to draw temperature vs time graphs as shown in the attached figure? Besides, I am not sure whether I should turn MULTIPHASE model ON or OFF during simulation, since my material also undergoes phase change at 60 ℃? I request you to kindly resolve my query. Thanks a lot! Engr.GRH |
