Hello, so for my senior design project we are exploring the effect of trailing edge modifications on noise production of a wind turbine blade. So far we have accomplished to put our control blade, the NREL S822, into ANSYS, mesh it, and run it through fluent. Our plots of velocity look reasonable, however our sound plots are clearly incorrect. Where there should be some sound there is none. See the attached pictures for a further explanation of what I mean. In terms of a set up I am using a k-e viscous model, a broadband noise model, an inlet velocity of 6 m/s and all other defaults. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks you. |
