Hello everyone,

I am doing a simulation which uses the LTNE model of porous media offered by FLUENT and the UDF code to calculate the radiation transfer.

I just wonder how to acquire the absorption coefficient and the scattering coefficient of porous media. I know in several articles they used the correlation with the parameters, like porosity, pore diameter and emissivity. But my problem is the range of the these two coefficients. If I used the correlation in the article, it give me about 200 for both the two coefficient.
However, it doesn't seem adequate for the LTNE model. And I once came across a value of absorption coefficient, it's about 0.2.

Can anyone explain this to me?

Hope all you have a nice day.

Shen
