Dear Members,
I am simulating a 2D problem, with a water flow around a circular cylinder. The cylinder is porous; I set the porosity in "Cell zone conditions" for the cylinder. 1) For porosity higher than 0.5 the solution converges, but for porosity lower than 0.5 it does not converge. I have tried to change the numerical schemes (Quick, second order, etc.), the pressure velocity solving (Piso, Simple, Coupled, etc.), the turbulence model (k-eps, k-eps RNG, k-omega, etc.), the time step (also of more than 10 times lower!). The soultion diverge both in stationary and in transient formulation. The divergence starts from the inside of the cylinder. 2) How can I monitor the Drag at this cylinder? The boundary between the cylinder and the surrounding domain is an interface, not a wall, but Fluent can monitor the drag only at wall surfaces. Can you help me? Thank you very much! |

Did you get a solution for your problems?

Hi Ema40
HiTempest Did you get a solution for your problems? I also want to know. |
