Hi,
I am trying to simulate a lubrication theory problem where a fluid is being compressed between two rubber rotating rollers to the point where the fluid needs to be ~0.1 mm by utilizing FSI coupling. No matter my dynamic mesh setup I have been getting negative mesh volumes. I have tried reducing my time step down to 0.001 and have the following settings for dynamic mesh: Methods: Smoothing-Diffusion, Diffusion Function(boundary-distance), Diffusion Parameter (1) Remeshing: Local Cell, Local Face, Parameters (Use defaults) Dynamic Mesh Zones: Surfaces in contact with rollers: System Coupling with the cell height set as the specified element size from the fluid mesh. All other surfaces: Deforming with zone parameters set based off the bounds from the zone scale info I am relatively new to ANSYS Fluent and this is my first time using FSI coupling. Any help would be greatly appreciated! |
