Red face UDF air blowing-define the position in geometry

behest is on a distinguished road
Dear all,
I want to inject air to a flat surface. Should I define an inlet velocity on the surface? or I just plot the surface and define the air blowing, its position and velocity, by UDF?
I mean that it is necessary to define injector's position in the geometry.
