Hello guys,
I am working on an HPC system (red hat, linux). The system comprises 7 nodes each can perform 16 processes and all 7 nodes are completely identical. When i run fluent 17.1 and check if there is any error in partitioning i get the warning load is imbalanced. However since all the nodes/CPUs are identical then the mesh nodes are divided equally between the CPUs but still i get this error. I am afraid that this warning might be telling me that my machine can run faster. I am running a VAWT, so i could use the extra boost since the simulations take a long time and each one requires around 5000 time steps to complete it. Did anyone run into this problem and may have a solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Fadi |
