Hello Everyone,
We are facing some issues with fluent parallel processing. We have two workstations and the details are as follows Workstation 1 HP workstation, Intel Xenon CPU 3.07GHz (2 processors), 32 GB of RAM and number of cores = 12, windows 7 Workstation 2 Supermicro workstation, Intel Xenon CPU 2.07GHz (2 processors), 60 GB of RAM and number of cores = 32, windows 7 Workstation 2 is having very good hardware configuration as compared to workstation 1. When we ran a case by selecting 8 processors in fluent parallel mode. what we observed is workstation 1 is utilizing 100% of CPU for 8 processors but in workstation 2 it is considering 16 processors with all 16 partially utilized. Workstation 1 is giving good performance as compared to workstation 2 (in terms of solution time). We are doubting that we need to do some hardware configuration which is by default active in workstation 1 (correct me if I am wrong). Please help us to resolve this issue so that we can maximum utilize our hardware. Thank you |

Hi Dear friend, I have exactly the same problem as you and my processor is Intel. Did you manage to fix this problem and use more cores for parallelization? |
