Hi everyone,

I want to model flow over a cylinder. However, it seems that there are 2 different ways to model the cylinder :

1- Draw both cylinder and flow domain boundary in one sketch and create a surface from sketches between them and extrude the surface. It will result in a domain with a hollow space where the cylinder is located. It means that the cylinder's wall boundary conditions is fixed in this case.

2- Draw pier and flow domain boundary in different sketches and extrude them separately with "add frozen " option.

I'm not sure which one make the model similar to the real-world phenomenon. Any help would be appreciated.
