Hello Everyone,
I have a horizontal pipeline (about 0.3m dia) in which particles (about 1cm in dia) settle at the bottom and create a bed when fluid velocity reduces below the critical velocity. I am trying to simulate removal of the settled particles using a rotating mechanical device (to be placed inside the main pipeline) that will create turbulence and bring the settled particles in suspension for their removal by the moving fluid. Can anyone please suggest me which model should I choose? DPM, Mixture or Eulerian ? Also, some of my friends are of the opinion that this is a fluid-structure-interaction problem. I wonder if you could please let me know what kind of problem I am dealing with? Thanks |
