Hi,
I am trying to simulate premixed combustion in steel micro-combustor with dimensions 18mm X 8mm X 3mm with thickness 0.5mm outside. I have applied premixed combustion model with non-adiabatic condition. For mesh interfaces I have created interface with 'coupled wall' and 'matching' option. In materials I have created methane-air mixture with its properties at equivalence ratio 1 and temp. 300K. In boundary conditions I have given inlet velocity (0.5 m/s), and for specification method I have used turbulence intensity as 5% and hydraulic diameter for inlet and pressure-outlet with same specification method. For wall option I have used shell conduction. I am trying to simulate this mixture but it is not burning though solution is converging. I have tried different solution schemes and changed specification methods but in vain. Since I am taking these conditions from one of the journals that mixture must be burning mixture. So here I am wrong somewhere. Is there anyone who have tried this or who can point what is wrong in this. I am hoping that someone will guide me or point out my errors. Thank you so much in advance |
