Hi,

I have results from a steady state simulation which I want to use as my starting point to perform transient simulations. Can someone help me out on what settings I have to do in Fluent to import those results?

Thank you.

Could somebody please help? Should I duplicate the fluent files? Even if I import the Fluent case file in the other, how do I specify the result of the steady state in the second file as input or starting point?

The easiest thing to do is to take your case and data file from the steady state simulation and then just switch the Fluent settings to transient and then save it as a new case & data set.

You could just read the steady state data file directly into the transient case file, but some things might get lost depending on how many of your settings have been changed.
