I am working on CFD of a vertical Axis Wind turbine. I placed the blade in a rectangular enclosure with one side as inlet, opposite as outlet and the rest as wall. I did a transient analysis by rotating the blade from 30 to 150 degrees along the direction of the wind at a speed of 5 m/s where blade is of the dimensions 1.6 feet * 0.5 feet.
When I give 101325 Pa in the reference pressure location of reference values from inlet, I get 1000 Newtons of air force on the blade. When the reference pressure is given 0 the force on the blade is giving 130 Newtons of force. Which of the above parameter is right? What is the prominence of Reference Pressure in the Reference Values of Fluent? |
