Hi,
I am trying to simulate supersonic flow on a wedge.During the flow, the wedge angle changes by 0.5 degrees (not due to the flow loads but due to our external input). The nature of flow on the current wedge angle is sensitive to the previous one i.e the path through which this angle came.I am not looking for transient flow but the steady flow after the wedge angle is changed. To simulate this, I have tried to first solve flow around previous wedge angle, save the data as interpolation file and then initialise this data for the current wedge angle and yeah the mesh changes but I gave same element sizing and mapped face mesh inorder to make sure its not too different from the previous one. But the initialisation is not working as expected (See the figures attached) Any help on this is appreciated..Also is there any other way to simulate the physics? |
