Swirl ratio fluctuates

Iam doing an analysis of port flow in Ansys Fluent. In that i need to calculate the swirl ratio at a plane. For that i created a field function as follows:
(x*Vz-z*Vx)/(x*x+z*z) I created a surface monitor for mass averaged swirl ratio at a required plane and also for mass flow rate at outlet. The problem is that the swirl ratio does not converges even if the solution is converged. The mass flow rate converges. If i see the plot of the mass averaged swirl ratio at the plane it keeps on fluctuating. The simulation conditions are inlet: pressure inlet atm pressure outlet: pressure outlet (-2451.5 Pa) Model: Realizable k-epsilon I need to know that the problem is with the field function or with the simulation setup. Have anyone experienced similar situation? Thanks |
