Hi all,
I have faced a problem that is relevant to Interface. Two faces are available to fuse one.But I couldnt do it. with TUI commond, tried some command like fuse-face-zones and merge-zones but they couldnt have been created, When I have tried both in TUI command and some messages occured in window like below 'fuse face zones'' : due to connectivitiy problem ''merge zones '':unable to merge in Mesh interfaces window in Fluent, Wall_thickness_1 and wall_thickness_2 have been interfaced ''coupled'' but some problem have been occured like '' could not correct face handedness'' The system you see are combined 2 bodies in a part and shared topo have been applied in ''İmprints'' |

The face handedness error indicates that there is a problem with your mesh [Read this]. You can correct this by TUI commands.
The faces or zones will not fuse if the meshes are different on the surface shared by both the domains. Last edited by vasava; February 23, 2016 at 09:35. Reason: Error |

Thank you for all your help, The thing you have referred to have been changed meshes by TUI command.I am not saying good(İf I were a helpless I would try it).But there is a point you have defined is,yes, meshes on both surface are different. How can I resolve it? Maybe ,um, both surface must be made in Mapped face meshes and equally number edge sizing ? (etc 80,100) is that is solution? Because when I have seen both surfaces in mesh, they have tetra-mesh.That's why they are not touched, combined or matching in that surfaces.Maybe is that my problem? maybe face-handedness have occured in that. What else explaniton are proper to create overlap or gap between meshes. Kind Regards, |

You can make maching mesh by using 'Match Control'.
I have difficulty in understanding what you want to say. However I will suggest based on what I make of your problem. If you want to simulate a solid pipe between the two fluids, you need not have matching meshes. But if you want to fuse two domain then you need matching meshes. |

I have gotten a error(could not face handedness face... for ... as soon as I have done hybrid initialization) in Fluent when I have tried both surface in coupled in Mesh Interfaces. Aim is to have a just only wall.Otherwise 2 quantity walls have been seen in CFD-Post.(convective heat transfer is not enough ) I hope i have expressed it you.Now is it necessary to do ''Match Mesh'' |
