Hi everybody , I'm currently trying to run a simulation on Ansys . To show a structural failure (Crack) in the copper tubes inside a Fin Evaporator

Due to the limitations of the a school version of ansys . The model has been simplified to purely just a small section of the copper pipes . The suspected cause of the crack inside the pipe was due to it being subjected to repeated cycles of thermal cycling ranging from 150 degrees to -40 degrees .

The heat was generated with an external heating coil .

I would like to enquire if anyone has experience in this?
- Should i analyze this problem using Transient Thermal/ Fluent/CFX?
- Is the mesh sufficient for such a problem?
