Dear all,
i am chetan working on the project title of gas turbine combustion chamber simulation. i have set following parameters in fluent for simulating the flow 1.solver- pressure based and steady 2. standard k-ep model 3. material- air ideal gas law 4. Boundary condition- inlet-mass flow B.C, outlet- outflow B.c inlet mass flow rate varies from 0.253 kg/s (Re=87000) to 1.6 kg/s (Re =550000) please find attached Results at Re=87000 now i want to use density based solver for higher Re because mach no goes above 0.3 but the solution is not converge and which B.C should i use because ouflow B.C is not suitable for density based solver |

Try a pressure outlet boundary condition (with target mass flow rate if needed).
Setting up proper initial conditions helps the density based solver tremendously. Try using the solution from a pressure based solver to setup the density based solver. |
