problem with time-periodic boundary condition transient profiles

Hi everyone. I cannot understand how time-periodic transient profiles work at all...please give me some ideas if you know where I go wrong. Thanks.
here is a simplified version of my txt file: ((testing transient 5 1) (time 0.100 0.200 0.300 0.400 0.500 ) (u 0.0197726511912733 0.0255230783190052 0.0308709912548985 0.0357320502172657 0.0400295934024144 ) ) After reading this profile in Fluent and setting up the right boundary condition I was expecting my velocity inlet to behave like this.. time 0.1 0.2 0.3 0.4 0.5 0.6 0.7 0.8 0.9 1.0.... u u1 u2 u3 u4 u5 u1 u2 u3 u4 u5.... (u1 - u5 represent the values in the above profile) however what I got was always something like this... time 0.1 0.2 0.3 0.4 0.5 0.6 0.7 0.8 0.9 1.0.... u u2 u3 u4 u1 u2 u3 u4 u1 u2 u3.... u5 does not show up at all, and the starting value is also wrong...How am I supposed to use the transient profiles? I'm so confused..... |
