Hello everyone in the Forums,
Iam trying to simulate for my master's thesis the flow around a 3D HAWT using Fluent. I have used the Single Rotational Frame Method, but i cant seem to get the right results. Iam trying to simulate the rotation of the blades using the Sliding Mesh Method. However, because of the dirty CAD Geometry i have, (which CANNOT be further fixed) i have to use cutcell assembly meshing. Assembly Meshing produces a conformal mesh between the 3 fluid bodies i have created in order to rotate the middle one which contains the blade. As a result i cannot "see" the mesh interfaces between the 3 bodies (2 interfaces between the front and the middle and 2 between the middle and the rear. I also have turned Create Shared Topology option in DesignModeler to 'none'. How can i get over this? Any ideas would be very appreciated. |
