Hello,
I'm new here and I hope you can help me. i have to import a 3D-Velocity profile from CFX to Fluent. i got the data from a college in this form: x [ m ], y [ m ], z [ m ], Velocity u [ m s^-1 ], Velocity v [ m s^-1 ], Velocity w [ m s^-1 ] -in a .csv data. then i generated a .txt and put the data into it: ((turb-prof point 5655) (x -0.0732838959000 -0.0742162839000 ) (y ... ) (z ... ) (x-velo ... ) (y-velo ... ) (z-velo ... ) ) afterwards i read the .txt as a profile and set my Bcs to this: but the informations for the inlet is not correct. Fluent only tooks the last value from the velocity profile and put them to every node on the inlet. How can I fix that? thank you in advance and sorry for my bad english |

ok i got the problem...
at the beginning the mesh was not right in place and i spend a ton of time into it. and now after finding out i was too lacy to calculate 1 timestep. I thought the right inletprofil will show in contours after i initiliazed my solution but that was a misconception. but thanks anyway |
